Job Description

  • Perform comprehensive risk evaluations of contractual documents, identifying potential liabilities and recommending amendments to minimize exposure to commercial and legal risks.
  • Analyze post-tender clarifications and integrate them into the commercial proposal to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with the business development/estimation team to customize Main Contracts, ensuring compliance with project specifications, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize critical contractual documents, including Letters of Intent, Letters of Award, and Subcontract Agreements, ensuring consistency with the Main Contract and safeguarding the company’s commercial interests.
  • Prepare Addenda and Amendments to Subcontract Agreements to address project-specific requirements, as well as those imposed by the Employer and relevant authorities.
  • Draft and finalize contractual correspondence pertaining to Main Contracts and Subcontracts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and submit Extension of Time and Cost Claims in accordance with Main Contract provisions and liaise with Engineers and Employers to secure timely determinations.
  • Review payment certificates to verify compliance with executed Subcontract Agreements and/or Memoranda of Understanding.
  • Administer change orders, claims, and variations, ensuring thorough documentation and timely approvals to support uninterrupted project progress.
  • Provide support in Arbitration Proceedings, including the preparation of Statements of Claim/Defense, Rejoinders, Witness Statements, and other requisite documentation as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of performance securities and advance payment guarantees, issuing notices to Subcontractors for extensions or notifying guarantors (e.g., banks or insurance companies) for encashment in cases of non-compliance with contractual extension obligations or with Employer for cancellation of bank guarantees.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience in administration of FIDIC Suites of Contracts and Bespoke contracts.
